An article in the Chicago Tribune about vitamin D deficiency and how modern lifestyles contribute to it quotes Peter Horvath, associate professor of exercise and nutrition sciences. Half of the 60 adults in his 2014 study did not have enough vitamin D, although “You might not see the effects for years … so you don’t know it,” he said.
