Scientific Communication

Clinical and Translational Science Institute

Program Description

The Clinical and Translational Science Institute's Scientific Communication workshop series aims to investigate methods to communicate clinical and translational research findings to different groups of individuals. Workshop goers will learn how to write summaries of scientific information for use in the development of clinical health care policies, which can then be translated into national health strategies or guidelines for use by the general public. Attendees will also examine how to explain the utility and mechanisms of commercialization of clinical and translational research findings, the patent process and technology transfer.
