IAD Days conference celebrates big data and high-performance computing at UB

The Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science held IAD Days (formally CDSE Days) April 26 -28, 2022 following a two-year hiatus. The event attracted over 200 participants including students, faculty, and community researchers.

Sargur “Hari” Srihari, an internationally renowned UB professor of computer science who taught computers to read handwriting and significantly advanced the fields of pattern recognition, computational forensics and machine learning, died March 8.
Computer science team awarded for research on face recognition
