TRB Webinar: Direct Displacement-Based Seismic Design of Bridges

TRB will conduct a webinar on Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 2:00PM to 3:30PM ET about the concepts of Direct Displacement-Based Seismic Design (DDBD) as a methodology suitable for seismic design of bridges. Presenters will cover the fundamentals of DDBD and its application to multi-span bridge structures. They will also describe example bridge designs that use this method.

34th International Bridge Conference® (IBC) June 4-8, 2017, National Harbor, Maryland.  The IBC is the pre-eminent arena for the bridge industry in North America, Europe and Asia. The IBC annually attracts over 1,200 bridge owners and engineers, senior policy makers, government officials, bridge designers, construction executives, and suppliers from throughout the United States and abroad.

The Western Bridge Engineers' Seminar is a biennial cooperative effort by the Federal Highway Administration and the Transportation Departments of Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Its purpose is the exchange of information between government agencies, consultants, contractors, educators, and suppliers on current subjects important to the design, construction, and maintenance of bridges.
