The General Pediatrics Fund supports pediatric medical research for the Department of Pediatrics within the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo

The Department of Pediatrics comprises numerous divisions, all actively engaged in research and dedicated to excellence in patient care and teaching.

Much of the research conducted by our faculty has received national acclaim. The divisions function in unison as a department under the guidance and tutelage of the department chair.

Basic and clinical translational research is an essential aspect of our department’s core mission. Our faculty conduct their research in well-equipped, state-of-the-art facilities, and have a track record of accomplishments that has won them international recognition as innovators who have improved children’s health worldwide.

In addition, we train outstanding pediatricians who contribute significantly to the prevention, treatment and scientific advancement of diseases affecting children, adolescents and young adults.

Family Medicine Endowment Fund

Global Medicine Fund

For many years, UB students have participated in short-term global health mission trips where they provide medical care in an interdisciplinary team setting to individuals in rural areas that have limited resources and fragmented healthcare.

These trips enable UB students to learn how to provide culturally-competent care in a global healthcare setting. They set up "mobile" pharmacies and clinics, dispense medications, counsel patients and assist providers with medication selection. These experiences not only give students hands-on training but teach a level of compassion and patient care that cannot be learned in a classroom.

Your gift will help offset travel and related expenses for UB students and ensure they have the medical supplies necessary to treat all of the individuals in need that they encounter.
