"As you explore different careers, try to learn about both the best parts and the challenging parts of each profession. Understanding the full picture will help you make choices that truly fit you.
Most importantly, get to know your own strengths and think about how you can leverage them. Start with what you’re passionate about, stay curious, and give yourself permission to grow and change. Your career needs may shift over time, and that’s completely normal. Every step is part of your story."
-Alexandra B., '07, '09
"Talk to someone in the Career Design Center for help with your resume, cover letter, grad school applications, finding an internship, landing a job!"
- Tim M., '03, '05
"Give everything a try. Never say never. Dream big. Nothing is final. Many of us are still trying to figure out what we want to do in the future!"
-Ruth K., '05
"Prioritize your time and allocate effort to the most meaningful items. Everything has trade-offs, understand them, accept them and move on. Show up every day eager to learn, work hard and deliver results; the rest will take care of itself."
-Thomas B., '99
"It’s okay to change your mind! Don’t get “stuck” because you left high school thinking/feeling/ saying one thing. It’s okay to explore and do something different. Taking the time now will save you time, money, and emotional energy in the future."
-Brittany S., '12, '14
