UB Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI)

UB's Clinical and Translational Science Institute provides seed grants to support the planning of community-based participatory research projects and engagement of communities on research teams. The projects must address health challenges focusing on community needs or promoting a positive health environment, and how the partnership will plan for the submission of a CTSI Pilot Study or other funding application.

One to four seed grants, ranging from $2,500 to $10,000, will be awarded to community-academic teams for:

• Developing community-engaged research partnerships that align with the mission and vision of the partnering community-based organization
• Aligning priorities and exploring possibilities for collaboration
• Developing innovative community-engaged research proposals to be submitted for a CTSI Pilot Study and other external funding opportunities

A Zoom information session will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, to provide prospective applicants with an overview of the program and answers to their questions.
