The UB Clinical and Translational Science Institute presents a community conversation with Laurene Tumiel-Berhalter, PhD, Associate Professor and Director of Community Translational Research in the Department of Family Medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine and
Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo.

A Science Café is a community discussion about science in a social setting. Community members talk with researchers about real-world issues and the ways that research can impact health. Science Cafés are free and open to the public.

Attendees on February 25 will listen to a presentation on the importance of plain language; participate in an open discussion on plain language used in research studies; and visit tables for more detailed information and a copy of a new plain language primer/toolkit.
