Associate Director Rita Hubbard-Robinson Wins 2023 IDEA Award

Our own Rita Hubbard-Robinson, Associate Director of the Community Health Equity Research Institute, was recognized for her tireless work on behalf of the Buffalo community in winning a Business First 2023 IDEA Award (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity Awareness). In addition to her role in our Institute, Rita is founding CEO of Neuwater and Associates LLC, treasurer of the Buffalo Center for Health Equity and coordinator of First Fruits Food Pantry. She is a visionary community leader and serves several other leadership roles related to food equity in Buffalo.

Rita was joined by family, friends and colleagues on February 15 at an awards dinner where she was recognized for her work. Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York sponsored a table at the event where five companies and 19 individuals received IDEA awards.

Rita has a passion for creating viable projects that serve the community and enhance opportunities for health and wellness. She is one of the founding Associate Directors of this Institute. Her vision and ideas help guide the work of the Institute.
