The University at Buffalo will bid a fond farewell to the Class of 2010 during a number of commencement ceremonies to be held beginning Thursday, May 6.

The Thursday commencement schedule at UB:

-- Biomedical Sciences, 6 p.m., Center for the Arts, North Campus.

Friday's commencement schedule:

-- Graduate School of Education, 9 a.m., Center for the Arts.

-- College of Arts and Sciences master's and doctoral ceremony, 1 p.m., Center for the Arts.

--School of Management bachelor's ceremony, 1 p.m., Alumni Arena.

-- School of Architecture and Planning, 5 p.m., Center for the Arts.

-- School of Management master's and doctoral ceremony, 5 p.m., Alumni Arena.

Saturday's schedule will include:

-- School of Nursing, 9 a.m., Alumni Arena.

-- School of Social Work, 9 a.m., Center for the Arts. The speaker will be Eric Walker, co-founder and director of organizing for People United for Sustainable Housing (PUSH).

-- School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, 1 p.m., Alumni Arena.

-- School of Public Health and Health Professions, 1 p.m., Center for the Arts. The speaker will be Michael W. Cropp, president and CEO of Independent Health.

-- School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1 p.m., Lippes Concert Hall in Slee Hall, North Campus. Assemblyman Jim Hayes will speak.

-- School of Dental Medicine, 5 p.m., Center for the Arts. The speaker will be William G. Kohn, director of the Division of Oral Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

UB's general commencement ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 9, in Alumni Arena.
