Your safety is our first priority. In order to ensure all guests have a safe and enjoyable time, we have implemented the following safety procedures for all commencement ceremonies.

Security and Prohibited Items

Bag Check

The safety of our guests is of the highest importance. Upon arrival, security personnel will conduct a speedy inspection of all belongings.

  • Bags over 12"x12"x6"
  • Balloons/inflatables
  • Drugs and/or related paraphernalia
  • Fireworks/explosives
  • Flags/banners
  • Food/beverages/alcohol
  • Laser objects
  • Noise-making devices
  • Non-collapsible umbrellas
  • Sign/sticks
  • Voice amplifiers
  • Weapons
  • Any item that venue management deems a safety hazard or may diminish the enjoyment of the event for other guests

*In accordance with the ADA, specially trained service animals are permitted.

Deliberate disruption or prevention of the peaceful and orderly conduct of classes, lectures, events, meetings and other University activities is strictly prohibited.
