Wenyao Xu
Department of Computer Science and Engineering
Wenyao Xu, PhD, is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University at Buffalo. His research bridges intelligent sensing, wearable and mobile computing, and artificial intelligence for health. Dr. Xu has developed many patented technologies that have been translated into clinical and commercial applications to advance diagnostics, rehabilitation, and preventive care. His work has led to successful startup ventures and collaborations with leading medical centers and industry partners, achieving international recognition for advancing smart health systems that transform how human data are sensed, analyzed, and applied to clinical decision-making.
