Biography

Eric A. Walker is currently a research assistant professor in Computational and Data-Enabled Science and Engineering at the University at Buffalo. His research interests span Catalysis, Data Science, and High Performance Computing. His doctoral dissertation focused on Uncertainty Quantification in Computational Catalysis and was awarded an Eastman fellowship and USC presidential fellowship. He published further in electrochemical topics including fuel cells and Li-ion batteries. During his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan he applied machine-learning tools to chemical challenges in catalyst and materials optimization. He serves as session chair in the catalysis and reaction engineering division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
