UB went 2-3 last week, but the bats came alive as the Bulls produced some impressive offensive numbers.

UB dumped crosstown rival Canisius, 13-5, on April 24 at home. Brandon DiCesare had three hits and three RBIs, while reserve catcher Fran Coudriet smacked a bases-loaded double to score three runs.

From there, UB hit the road for a four-game series with Mid-American Conference foe Ohio. The Bulls put together 18 hits in a 24-9 loss to the Bobcats, with Bryan Sanchez going 4-for-5 with two RBIs.

The bats temporarily fell silent in an 8-2 loss on Saturday and an 11-5 decision in the second game of the doubleheader that was suspended due to rain.

In Sunday's finale, the Bulls put it all together, setting school records for runs (27), RBIs (25) and home runs (six) in a 27-12 victory over the Bobcats. The Bulls also tied the school record with 24 hits in the contest, as every UB batter registered at least one hit, run and RBI in the win.

Freshman pitcher Stacey Evans earned the win on the mound, throwing all 10 innings and striking out a career-high and UB single-game record 12 batters. The Griffs rebounded for a 9-3 win in the nightcap of the doubleheader.

UB then split two games with Niagara on Friday. Sophomore Heather Robbins threw a 4-0 shutout in the opener and freshman Ann Magur hit a two-run homer in the first inning before the Purple Eagles rebounded for a 6-4 win in game two.

The Bulls scored a total of nine runs in their final at-bats in the seventh inning of a doubleheader at Bowling Green on Saturday to earn two come-from-behind wins over the Falcons. The Falcons rebounded for a 10-7 win in the three-game series finale on Sunday. Freshman Julie Hibner hit a two-run triple in the top of the seventh, but the Falcons held on to their lead to salvage one win in the series.
