"ABANDON"

Artist Tony Matelli has recreated familiar weeds in an exhibit that captures how these unwanted plants reflect the social quest for beauty and control. "ABANDON" is on display through March 10 in the Lightwell Gallery in the Center for the Arts. Gallery hours are Wed. through Sat., 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sun., noon to 5 p.m.

"Eyes Wide Open: Artists' Perception of Conflict"

This juried show includes work UB artists, as well as others from around the country. It will be on display through Feb. 17 in the Art Department Gallery in the Center for the Arts. Gallery hours are Tues., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wed. through Fri., 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sat., 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

"The Graduate Show: First-Year Students"

Student work will be on display Jan. 28 through Feb. 18 in the UB Art Gallery in the Center for the Arts. Gallery hours are Wed. through Sat., 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and noon to 5 p.m. Sun.
