The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences joined forces on Feb. 29 to host the Rare Disease Day symposium, “Care for Rare: From Bench to Bedside,” at the Jacobs School. The half-day event aimed to raise awareness about the rare diseases that affect some 300 million people across the globe. Students shared more than 20 poster presentations on their research.
