This America's White Table is a symbolic tribute to missing veterans. It is set for one to symbolize that some are missing from the ranks.
Commemorating the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, the UB Libraries and Special Collections created and curated an exhibit featuring manuscripts and other memorabilia of World War I poets. Assistant curator Alison Fraser (at far end of the showcase) talks with William Regan and A. Scott Weber about some of the items on exhibit.

UB political science student and Army National Guard service member Chanel Powell spoke of her service experience.
Dan Ryan, director of veteran services (right), presented a pin to Troy Miller, associate vice provost and director of admissions. Miller, who served in the Army and is a combat veteran, spoke about his experience in service and how good leaders embrace the concept of service over leading.
Tech Sgt TJ Whitmore, who serves in the U.S. Air Force, shared that .04 percent of the population serves in the military and that, although it's a very small percentage, the armed forces family is very large. "I can't imagine doing anything else," he said, and "thank you to all veterans."
