Last week, 35 UB students took part in an Alternative Break with community partners to learn about the work the partners do in the Buffalo community. Durng the week, students participated in Zoom sessions based on their team's social justice issue: blue is Access to Education, green is Sustainability, yellow is Civic Engagement, and red is Poverty Alleviation. "This week offered a really awesome opportunity for our students to engage with community partners and learn about potential volunteering opportunities being offered, both virtually and in-person, during the spring semester and beyond," says Preston Arment, graduate assistant in Student Engagement.
