The Tailgate Concert Series at UB home football games will be back in the fall with a lineup of performers that includes iconic rock band Three Dog Night and up-and-coming country singers Easton Corbin, Joe Nichols and Frankie Ballard.

Each concert in the seven-concert series will begin two hours before kickoff. The free concerts will take place in Stampede Square in the Stadium Parking Lot between the stadium and Millersport Highway.

Corbin will open this year’s series with a concert before the Bulls’ home opener against Duquesne on Aug. 30. Other acts performing in the series are Nichols (Sept. 12 versus Baylor), alternative rock band Spin Doctors (Sept. 20, Norfolk State), Three Dog Night (Sept. 27, Miami, OH), Zach Brown Tribute Band (Oct. 25, Central Michigan), Ballard (Nov. 11, Akron) and Strictly Hip, a Buffalo-based band that plays the music of the Tragically Hip (Nov. 19, Kent State).

The Tailgate Concert Series began last fall as part of a new initiative by UB Athletics to improve the fan experience at the home football games. Among the other additions to the home-game experience were an enhanced “Walk to Victory” by the football team, interactive fan activities, giveaways and the broadcast of a live radio pregame show courtesy of CBS Sports Radio THE FAN 1270 AM in Stampede Square.

UB Athletics also is offering faculty and staff an opportunity to purchase season tickets for $75, a savings of $22 over the regular price of $99. The number of tickets that can be purchased at the special $75 rate is unlimited, as long as the tickets are purchased by UB employees.

To purchase tickets, visit the Alumni Arena ticket office or call 1-877-UB-THERE.
