A top national expert—who also happens to be a UB graduate—will discuss the state of the U.S. economy on Nov. 13 at UB’s Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC).

William A. Strauss, ’80, a senior economist and adviser in the economic research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, will return to his alma mater to have “A Conversation about the Economy” from 9-11 a.m. on the fifth floor of the CTRC, 875 Ellicott St., Buffalo.

Strauss’ research includes analysis of the manufacturing sector, the automotive sector, the Midwest regional economy, the trade-weighted dollar, business cycles and Federal Reserve payments operations.

Complimentary parking will be available in the Ellicott Street ramp across from the CTRC for this free event, which is sponsored by UB’s Office of Gift Planning and the College of Arts and Sciences. Space is limited, so please RSVP no later than Nov. 4 to Jill Robins at jcrobins@buffalo.edu or 881-7481.
