Nathan Laube, considered among the organ world’s elite performers, will give a recital on UB’s Fisk Organ at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 1 in Lippes Concert Hall in Slee Hall, North Campus.

The concert is presented by the Department of Music and the Buffalo Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Laube’s tentative program includes works by Franck, Widor, Mendelssohn, Liszt, Bach and Durufle.

Laube joined the faculty of The Eastman School of Music in Rochester this fall as an assistant professor of organ. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, he received a master’s degree in organ performance from the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart, Germany, last June.

A recipient of a Fulbright Grant, Laube spent the 2010-11 academic year studying at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Toulouse, where he earned Prix de Spécialisé with the mention “Très Bien” and “Féliciations du Jury”—the two top honors—in addition to the Prix François Vidal from the city of Toulouse.

He has been a featured performer at the 2009, 2011 and 2012 national conventions of the Organ Historical Society. He also was a featured performer at the American Guild of Organists’ 2010 and 2012 national conventions, and was a featured performer at three regional conventions of the American Guild of Organists in 2013.

He has performed with numerous orchestras, chamber ensembles and choruses, notably the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Nashville Symphony, the Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia and the Chicago Master Singers.
