“Bhopali,” the award-winning documentary about the survivors of the 1984 Union Carbide gas leak in Bhopal, India—considered to be the world's worst industrial disaster—will be screened at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 17 in 206 Furnas Hall, North Campus.

Note the change in location from earlier event notices.

Rox Carter of the International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal (ICJB) will speak at the screening; survivor-activist Sanjay Verma will appear via Skype. Verma lost his parents and five siblings in the Bhopal gas disaster.

The event is sponsored by ICJB, Amnesty International and the Buffalo chapter of the Association for India’s Development, as well as the Graduate Indian Student Association and the Graduate Outreach Club, both at UB.
