Strategic Financial Advisory Committee

The Strategic Financial Advisory Committee was established as one of several ways that the administration is working with UB stakeholders to respond to significant reductions in funding from New York State. The advisory group provides advice regarding how best to achieve financial targets while preserving the university’s mission, vision and strategic objectives.

The Strategic Financial Advisory Committee explored cost-reduction opportunities that could be enacted immediately and in the long term. The recommendations below were created to adhere to the guiding principles for cost reduction: to preserve the quality of education at the university, to maintain the vision for UB as a top tier research university and to maintain the momentum gained by UB’s current strategic initiatives. These recommendations continue to be implemented across our three campuses.
The Strategic Financial Advisory Committee identified a number of revenue generation opportunities that continue to be implemented to benefit UB.
