Project Objectives
- Make existing processes easier, more efficient and seamlessly integrated
- Create standard processes, methods and approaches
- Have clearly defined roles and responsibilities
- Improve and streamline communication among and between all those involved in sponsored program administration
- Better promote the services provided by organizations involved in sponsored program administration
- Eliminate paper based communication and processes
- Improve access to PI’s by providing effective tools and training
- Create a broadly trained staff
- Effectively organize and leverage the people required to deliver sponsored program administrative services
- Eliminate shadow systems and increase the use of Oracle to support pre and post award services
Project Scope
The scope of the project will include all processes, people, organizational structures, systems and facilities currently in place or in the future required to enhance the quality of sponsored program administration services.
- The project team will explore all available options, including consolidating the functions into a new entity, understanding system requirements, facility demands, process efficiency and quality enhancements in developing their recommendations.
- The team will also explore and consider alternative approaches and models in place at other leading research institutions
