How to Use Flickr
Creating online community
Building UB is using Flickr, an online community platform, to gather feedback on the draft of the UB comprehensive physical plan from members of the university community and community at large. The photo management and photo sharing capabilities of Flickr are ideal for presentation of the myriad components of the plan. You will find 70 individual slides with support document to review and on which to comment. As you review the materials, you will be able to comment on individual components through Flickr. Your comments and those of others will be recorded on the site and available for all visitors to consider. If you are not a member of Flickr, you can join free on the site. If you do not wish to join Flickr nor wish to have your comments recorded publicly, you can submit them using a private submission form linked to Flickr and accompanying each slide. You can still view all materials and comment privately without joining Flickr.
How to use Flickr:
Viewing the slides
To browse the campus plan presentation slides, use the photostream navigation located on the right side of the Flickr page (highlighted below). NOTE: The main/current photo does not appear in the photostream navigation –– only the next and previous.

Enlarging the slides
To view a larger size of the main/current photo click on the ALL SIZES button above the image. To return to the main Flickr page use your browser’s back button or click the “Back to Flickr photo page” at the top of the Flickr web page.

Adding your feedback
To comment on a slide you will need to sign up for a free Flickr account, or sign in if you're already a Flickr member. If you do not wish to join Flickr nor wish to have your comments recorded publicly, you can submit them using a private submission form linked to Flickr and accompanying each slide.

Viewing other sets
Once you have completed your review of a set of slides, click on the UB logo. The logo will be located on the Flickr web pages at either of the positions illustrated below. You are now ready to review a new set of slides, and can do so by clicking on the image associated with the set you wish to examine .
