- June 13, 2008 File service has been implemented and is providing an efficient solution. Details
- October 19, 2007 The implementation team is currently reviewing the response to the Request for Offer received from CIT. Details
- September 14, 2007 One of the most popular questions brought to the File/Print implementation team table was ‘When will the file service be made available’ and it was explained that the project team is targeting that the pilot be rolled out during the spring 2008 timeframe. Details
- August 21, 2007 Updates were given for the five sub teams of the Servers and Services Consolidation project. Details
- April 21, 2007 All of the sub-teams are meeting either weekly or bi-weekly, striving to have their preliminary budgets and design architectures completed by the end of April. Each hopes to have a group-specific timeline in place very soon in order to sequence the projects, identify the overlaps, and make decisions on key policy issues. Two key policies are the naming conventions of email systems and the deleted mail retention period. Details
- March 2, 2007 The group brainstormed ideas about what it means to provide file service and are putting their ideas in front of the SSC team, and then the IT community for input. The group has begun working on a project plan, timeline, and support mode. They are currently looking at network-attached services and working on recovery, backup, and archiving. Details
- February 21, 2007 The File/Print team is working on a value statement and finalizing requirements. Details
- January 31, 2007 The Servers and Services Consolidation sub-teams are gathering requirements and developing budget plans, with a target completion date of March 31. They are also in the process of collecting more server-related data for planning purposes, such as the server age and brand. Details
- December 20, 2006 File/Print Implementation Team has completed a very high level work breakdown structure, and will begin to survey campus file/print service providers to develop functional requirements.
