Major renovations in Farber Hall will meet immediate and
pressing needs for high quality research and simulation space in
the health sciences.
Construction is now complete on major renovations to Farber Hall
to provide badly needed new research space for the School of
Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and others. The approximately
$10.2 million project will also establish a health sciences
simulation laboratory on the fourth floor, as well as research
laboratories on the third floor. A Grand Opening ceremony was held
in September 2011 to celebrate the new spaces. The renovations are
critical to the ability of the health sciences schools to continue
recruiting high-quality faculty even as plans are developed for the
eventual move of the health sciences to a new campus in Downtown
Buffalo. Work includes new heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical
and communications infrastructure, as well as interior architecture
and finishes. See more
