Introducing the BLS Course – your key to mastering essential CPR skills. From adult and pediatric CPR to handling emergencies with confidence, this course equips you with life-saving expertise.

- BLS Training classes will be held on select Thursdays and Fridays.
- Payment must be made online at time of registration.
- Available course dates listed on registration form.
- Classes take place in the CPR Room, 105 Clark Hall, South Campus.
- Times for these courses will vary from week to week, so please make sure you are looking at the date and time of the course that you have registered for.
- Classes must be held to 10 participants or less. You MUST register for the course prior to your arrival. We will NOT accept walk-ins at this time.

First Aid Training will begin immediately following CPR Training classes on select dates. Please be advise this start time may vary class to class.

Pediatric First Aid is offered by appointment only. Please call Karen Mayfield at 716-645-3996 to make an appointment.
Pediatric First Aid is for:
- Those who work in child care or for individuals who have a duty to respond to a First Aid emergency.
- Child care workers, camp counselors, foster care parents, teachers and coaches.
Pediatric First Aid is available upon request and supplements the standard Heartsaver First Aid. Pediatric First Aid is more advanced than regular First Aid and will meet any job requirement.

Directions
Classes are held in 105 Clark Hall on UB’s South Campus.
- Take Main Street (US 5) to Bailey Ave and turn south.
- With UB campus on your right, turn right at the Sherman Road entrance and proceed to the Diefendorf Lot.
- Clark Hall is the grey stone building next to the parking lot.
- Enter the building through the CPR door (which faces the VA Hospital.)
Parking passes are needed during business hours. The instructor will give you a temporary pass upon arrival for your vehicle's rear-view mirror.
Policies & Procedures
Did You Know?
The American Heart Association maintains a training center through a partnership with the University at Buffalo, Recreation Department.
CPR, AED and First Aid Training is available to the UB community and the general public.
Course registration guarantees your spot for the selected date. Only documented emergencies (illness, family death) allow cancellations. We help you reschedule if you can't attend the original date.
Refunds
- Emergencies with proof qualify for refunds.
- Missing class without rescheduling forfeits full fee.
We may cancel classes due to low enrollment, weather, illness, or emergencies. In such cases, we'll email you. Pre-registered participants in cancelled classes get priority for the next one or a refund.
Weather-related cancellations align with University at Buffalo closures.
