UB Pride Parade.

The first UB Pride Parade marches down the North Campus Academic Spine on April 24, 2019.

Meetings and Events

FSA meetings are open and are generally held once per semester.  A schedule of events hosted or supported by the association are posted online, discussed at meetings, and advertised via the FSA listserv.

While FSA events are planned with a faculty and staff audience in mind, most events are open and welcome to all members of the UB community.

April 23 | UB Pride Parade

Canceled.

Thursday, April 23, 2020 | 3:00pm | Outside Capen Hall (North Campus Spine, Flint Entrance).  The Diversity Advocates of the Intercultural and Diversity Center along with other campus sponsors will host a UB Pride Parade as part of UB Pride Week, April 20-25.

Parade participants gather at 3:00pm.  Parade march begins at 3:30pm.

Most cities, including Buffalo, host their municipality sponsored Pride events during June or July.  This timing discrepancy with the academic year means that most UB students aren't able to celebrate their own personal pride in their identity by marching with their friends before returning home for the summer.  We hope that this UB specific Pride parade will foster an environment of inclusion where students can feel safe and comfortable marching with friends and allies, as well as reaffirming the University's commitment to their LGBTQ+ students.

The parade will be followed by an outdoor festival (location TBD) on the Student Union Field and all are welcome to attend.
