Scholars at Risk

UB annually offers a 12-month residential fellowship beginning in fall to scholars experiencing risk or a loss of academic freedom in their home countries due to persecution, government sanction, or physical threats.

UB offers Remote SAR Fellowships of variable duration up to one year, specifically for scholars at risk who cannot relocate to the US but whose engagement with UB would be mutually beneficial.
