What mentoring means to me:
As international student with limited English proficiency who had no clue about American academic culture, I had multiple challenges. It is a miracle that I survived in academia and became a tenured faculty member. I believe that guidance and support from my mentors made the miracle happen. It is time for me to pay it forward.
