What mentoring means to me:

I would not be where I am today without my mentors. To appreciate their hard work, I strongly believe in continuing a legacy of mentorship and sharing the wisdom and advice I have received with others. I also believe it is important for people to have a network of mentors, not a single mentor. Each mentor brings a unique experience and skill set to help mentees reach their goals.

Topics I am willing to discuss with students:

Academic Culture

  • Decoding and demystifying academic culture and norms.
  • Uncertainty about staying in grad school.

Personal Experiences

  • Experiences related to being a woman.
  • Experiences related to racial, ethnic, cultural and/or religious minority status.
  • Financial stress and strain.
