  • BA, History, New York University, 1992

Professional experience:

  • Academic Director, Honors, University at Buffalo Honors College

What mentoring means to me:

I personally benefitted tremendously while I was in graduate school from conversations with mentors beyond my direct academic supervisors/advisors. Different perspectives. Frank advice. I found these invaluable in helping me get outside the small bubble of my disciplinary/cohort bubble.

Topics I am willing to discuss with students:

Academic Culture

  • Considering a non-academic path after grad school.
  • Decoding and demystifying academic culture and norms.
  • Uncertainty about staying in grad school.

Personal Experiences

  • Caregiving for children.
  • Caregiving for other loved ones.
