What mentoring means to me:

I think it has helped me to have several great mentors, whom I am able to turn to for different types of support, advice and mentoring. I think both formal and informal mentoring has really helped me to navigate difficult decisions throughout my time as a graduate student.

Topics I am willing to discuss with students:

Academic Culture

  • Decoding and demystifying academic culture and norms.
  • Uncertainty about staying in grad school.

Personal Experiences

  • Caregiving for children.
  • Experiences related to being a woman.
