Global Database for City and Regional Food Policies

The first global sub-national food system policy database of its kind, the Global Database for City and Regional Food Policies is a resource for local and sub-national governments to learn about food system policies from around the globe.
Developed in partnership with the RUAF-Foundation (Global partnership for sustainable Urban Agriculture and Food Systems), the Global Database for City and Regional Food Policies provides copies of legislation, plans, funding allocations, or other public actions authorized or implemented by cities, municipalities, regions, and sub-national governments. This resource allows local and sub-national governments to learn from strategies utilized in other regions or countries. Searchable by keywords, location, language, population size, and year, individuals and organizations can find policies that may provide inspiration for their own communities. This database would not have been possible without the extraordinary efforts of the Food Systems and Healthy Communities team.

Dr. Samina Raja edited and wrote the editorial for the RUAF Urban Agriculture Magazine #31, Inclusive Use of Urban Space. The issues contains multiple articles from the Food Systems Planning and Healthy Communities Lab including Chunyuan Diao's "Community-led urban agriculture policy making: A view from the United States."
