Our Research

  • Employ genetic tools to identify novel risk factors and potential pathways that can be targeted with medications to prevent or modify the course of Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Use genetic biomarkers to determine heritability and identify risk factors associated with Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Continue our multicenter study funded by the National Institute on Aging that examines the diminished sense of smell associated with Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.
  • Grow our collaboration with the Mendelian Project of Baylor College of Medicine to better understand neurodegenerative dementias with Mendelian inheritance patterns.
