Inclusive Launch

A female entrepreneur speaks to students inside the Blackstone LaunchPad office.

Encouraging equality is one of CoLab powered by Blackstone LaunchPad’s core values. Supported in part by the Charles D. and Mary A. Bauer Family Foundation, CoLab hosts a series of workshops and discussions to empower women and students from diverse backgrounds to be our next innovators, entrepreneurs, makers and creators.

We partner with various organizations in the Western New York Community to develop engaging and inspiring seminars. Students may attend as many or as few seminars as they would like, improving things such as their communication and presentation skills along the way.

Regular events include networking opportunities in which students have the opportunity to connect with other like-minded students and local entrepreneurs. Through Inclusive Launch, students also have the opportunity to practice presenting their own ideas and get advice on pitching their projects from program leaders and coaches.

Our Inclusive Launch program provides a unique opportunity for students to develop their ideas into ventures in a cohort setting, over eight-workshops facilitated by a WNY entrepreneur. At the conclusion of the accelerator program, Ventures will pitch for seed funding and all students will be matched with a paid-internship with a WNY Startup to gain insight and expand their skills as entrepreneurs.
