Current Status

Updated: November 23, 2014 at 6:30 AM

UB has resumed normal operations

On Monday, Nov. 24, UB will continue normal operations, with all scheduled classes and activities taking place

The decision to resume classes and activities was made based on the physical safety and accessibility of university campuses, feasibility of re-establishing full campus services for our residential and non-residential students and the improving conditions throughout the region.

While the region continues to recover from this storm, it is understood that students, faculty and staff living in areas severely affected may still be unable to travel to campus.

Students who are unable to attend classes, due to weather or road conditions, should inform their professors, who will provide reasonable accommodation regarding academic work per university policy.

Affected employees should contact their supervisors.

The university will continue to monitor changing weather conditions and regional recovery efforts and will provide updates as necessary.

Students who were unable to attend classes on Tuesday, Nov. 18, Wednesday, Nov. 19 and/or Saturday, Nov. 22, due to severe weather should inform their professors, who will provide reasonable accommodation regarding academic work per university policy. The university cancelled all classes and activities on Thursday, Nov. 20, and Friday, Nov. 21; therefore, students will not be penalized for missed classes on those days.

These campus services and activities have announced changes in schedules or have resumed normal operations:

  • Campus Dining & Shops is providing the best service possible during this storm and its aftermath. Please refer to their special operations schedule. [updated 11/21 10:00 am]
  • Center for the Arts: Brian Setzer Orchestra, Nov. 23, will be held as scheduled. [updated 11/23 6:00 am]

Please check departmental websites for changes to other events and activities.

Please stay tuned to UB Alerts and this website for up-to-date information.
