Seeking students from a wide spectrum of disciplines to work on subsystems of satellite being built to be flown by NASA through its CubeSat Initiative as part of the Air Force University Nanosatellite Program.
A satellite is currently being built that will be flown by NASA through NASA's CubeSat Initiative and is part of the Air Force University Nanosatellite Program. The UB satellite will collect photometric data of unresolved space objects using two cameras which operate over the visible and infrared wavelengths. Using this data, various properties such as shape, orientation, albedo, and material composition will be estimated. Students from a wide spectrum of disciplines are needed to help with various aspects of the nanosatellite subsystems.
The specific outcomes of this project will be identified by the faculty mentor at the beginning of your collaboration.
