The CTSA Workforce Development (WFD) and Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design (BERD) cores are presenting a series of workshops on statistical topics scheduled throughout the academic year.
Topics presented in the Statistical Workshop Series will cover three of the 14 core competency areas offered by the CTSA WFD core, according to Maragarita Dubocivich, PhD, WFD core director. Experts from the School of Public Health and Health Professions will cover study design, sources of error and statistical approaches.
The Statistical Workshop Series is presented by the Department of Biostatistics and Department of Epidemiology and Environmental Health, School of Public Health and Health Professions (SPHHP). Attendees will learn the basics of statistical software, application of modelling techniques to data, and the study planning methods required by funding agencies. Each of the workshops is a self-contained module. They are free of charge, with priority given to faculty, post-docs and graduate students at UB and others in the Buffalo Translational Consortium.
Specific locations and registration details for individual sessions will be provided two weeks in advance of each seminar.
Wednesdays, 6 p.m., South Campus, UB.
