Empowering Women Through Entrepreneurship

Encouraging female leadership and gender equality is one of Blackstone LaunchPad’s core values. Supported in part by the Charles D. and Mary A. Bauer Foundation, Blackstone LaunchPad hosts a series of workshops and discussions to empower women to be our next innovators, entrepreneurs, makers and creators.

We partner with organizations such as Women in Science, the Society of Women Engineers, the Buffalo Branch of the American Association of University Women, the Gender Institute, the Student Association, the Graduate Student Association and Women in Management to develop engaging and inspiring seminars. Students may attend as many or as few seminars as they would like; however, those who attend four or more will receive a certificate of completion.

Regular events include Female Founder Friday, where a successful female entrepreneur will share her story and tips for success. Held every Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. in 220 Student Union. Check our Facebook page to see this week’s speaker.

If you are interested in participating as a speaker for a Female Founder Friday event, please contact us at 716-645-8111 or email launchpadub@buffalo.edu.
