CLIMB UP Application

Apply Now for CLIMB UP Summer 2024!

CLIMB UP will be held during Summer 2024.  We expect to provide air travel and housing fellowships for students who live 50+ miles outside of Buffalo, so all applicants are encouraged to apply.

Note to 2024 Applicants:

CLIMB UP Summer 2024 Application is OPEN!

Once you have applied:

  • You will receive completion status updates in the form of an email as applications are processed.
  • Acceptance letters will BEGIN being sent in late February. Continue to monitor your emails, as our admission process is gradual and based on rate of acceptances/declinations. We appreciate your patience.

The application will require you to upload the following onto the application portal:

a. Personal statement describing interest in research and career goals*

    -Please tell us in 2 pages or less:

  • Why do you want to do research, and how does this experience relate to your professional goals? How will our program support this?
  • What experiences and/or challenges have been impactful in your education career?
  • Do you have any specific life experiences (in academia, professional, volunteer, etc.) that show your dedication to the pursuit of advanced degrees in the sciences?
  • Do you have any other impactful experiences you'd like to share?

b. Your most recent resume or CV

c. Your latest academic transcript (unofficial copies are acceptable)

d. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation (research and academic references preferred)

Letters of Recommendation

Two (2) letters of recommendation: After completion of your application, your references will be sent an email notifying them to submit a letter of recommendation. Please remember to check the application portal to make sure it has been submitted and accepted.
