Francisco M. Vasquez, PhD ’03 

Vasquez spent 47 years working in human services, in both government and not-for-profit sectors, first in his home state of Arizona and then 30-plus years in Western New York before retiring in 2020. The last seven years of his career were spent as president and CEO of Child and Family Services, a Western New York human services agency dedicated to creating safe environments for children, adults and families. A founding member of the Greater Buffalo Racial Equity Roundtable, Vasquez serves on the board of directors of the John R. Oishei Foundation, Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Foundation, Say Yes to Education Buffalo and the Episcopal Church Home and Affiliates Inc. He completed 12 years of board service with both Kaleida Health and the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo in 2020. Vasquez received his bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Phoenix.
