Gamify your way to your vote!
Political education and discourse is a core part of democracy. For the first time in US history, fewer than 50% of adults know the three branches of government. While about 2/3 of Americans voted in the last federal election, local elections can see as low single digit turnout. Local elections arguably have the greatest impact on our day to day lives, yet so few people seem to know or care. This compounded with sensationalized media, overwhelming amounts of data, and heightened tensions often creates an overall feeling of analysis paralysis.
In this special webinar, Vienna Mott, BS '16, will share her experience creating a political education app that leverages AI and gamification. She will explain how Poliquicks is able to verify sources, how to gain trust from users, and best practices in identifying misinformation. With midterms rapidly approaching, this webinar will explore researching candidates, ballot measures, and more.
Please note this webinar is on a Monday.
