What questions are you trying to answer with your research?
I'm interested in electronic devices for energy conversion, photon sensing and information processing. I focus on developing novel semiconductors, understand their physical properties tied to the material structures. Next, we will find a best way of using the materials.
What drew you to your field of study?
I'm passionate about electronic devices and their working principles. Understanding the material physical properties is the key to building the next generation devices that can significantly improve our lives. For example, finding new semiconductors can help us to build more efficient solar panels that converts electricity from the sunlight.
What do you like to do to relax?
I like biking and hiking. I like traveling around the world to learn about new cultures, new perspectives of the world.
