Ad campaign ‘potentially deceptive.’ An advertising campaign on network television touting the benefits of a specific stent device used to prop open clogged arteries should be viewed as “potentially deceptive,” asserts a national commentary co-authored by a UB cardiologist.

Harness lake wind power. New York state should take advantage of a golden opportunity to become a leader in developing clean, renewable offshore wind power, according to a report by a UB Law School clinic.

Increased risk of tongue cancer. New research conducted at the School of Dental Medicine has shown that persons with periodontitis who also are infected with human papillomavirus (HPV) are at increased risk of developing tongue cancer.
