Philip Glass to perform at UB

Legendary composer Philip Glass will perform at the inaugural concert of the Center for 21st Century Music, to be held Sept. 18 in conjunction with the visit to UB by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. » Full Story

Peace flags to welcome Dalai Lama. A group of UB volunteers is creating more than 5,000 peace flags to be hung campus-wide during His Holiness' visit to UB in September.

Athletics unveils new mark. The Division of Athletics unveiled its new athletic logo on Tuesday, as well as comprehensive changes to both its football helmets and uniforms.

Addressing nursing shortage. An accelerated bachelor's-degree program in the School of Nursing designed to address the chronic nursing shorting will expand and focus on meeting the needs of underserved urban and rural areas.

Cultural awareness stressed. Rehabilitation service providers must become more aware of their clients' cultural orientations and bridge the gap between their culture and that of their clients, those attending a UBThisSummer lecture last week were told.

Research receives seed funding. Five research teams have been awarded seed grants in the latest round of funding from the UB 2020 Interdisciplinary Research Development Fund in the Office of the Vice President for Research.
