Four named UB Distinguished Professors. Four faculty members from across the university will be recognized as UB Distinguished Professors during the ninth annual University Convocation on Oct. 8.

SOM among top business schools. For the third consecutive year, the School of Management has been ranked as one of the world's "top business schools" by The Wall Street Journal.

NIH Grantsmanship Workshops scheduled. A series of workshops will offer investigators, fellows and students advice on how to interact with the National Institutes of Health and how to write and apply for an NIH grant.

Training suppliers in principles of lean manufacturing. The Center for Industrial Effectiveness is administering a program to deliver lean manufacturing training to 16 suppliers of Delphi Thermal's Plant in Lockport.
