UB, Hunter's Hope establish research institute

UB and the Hunter's Hope Foundation have established the Hunter James Kelly Research Institute, which will focus on research into Krabbe Disease and related diseases. » Full Story

UB Distinguished Professors named. Six faculty members who are leaders in their respective fields have been named UB Distinguished Professors.

Supporting worksite wellness. A $1 million grant to the School of Public Health and Health Professions will be used to kick-start an innovative initiative to improve the health and wellness of workers in Western New York.

Taking the case-studies approach to teaching. More science faculty are "kicking the lecture habit" in favor of the case-studies method of teaching advocated by a UB faculty member and a librarian.

Scholars, inventors, entrepreneurs honored. UB yesterday recognized faculty members and researchers at the annual Scholars, Inventors and Entrepreneurs Reception.
