Medical school to develop curricula on professionalism

The School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is one of 10 medical schools nationwide selected by the American Medical Association to participate in a new initiative aimed at integrating medical professionalism issues into the medical-school curriculum. » Full Story

WBFO completes broadcast conversion. WBFO 88.7 FM has completed a project to convert its analog broadcast facilities to a state-of-the-art digital system, and to renovate its studios in Allen Hall on the South Campus.

AT&T Foundation supports informatics. The AT&T Foundation continues its support of the School of Informatics with a $50,000 grant to develop a new undergraduate degree program in informatics.

Furthering SAD research. UB doctoral student Todd Kashdan has co-authored an article on Social Anxiety Disorder, one of the most prevalent and disabling mental disorders of childhhood and adolescence.

"Smart growth" plan for Porter wins top award for students. Work done by UB planning students to help the Town of Porter develop the initial phase of a master plan has earned the students and their instructor the 2003 Award for Outstanding Student Project from the American Planning Association, Western New York Section.
